The municipality of Los Llanos de Aridane, governed by the King Mayantigo during prehispanic eras, is located in the western slope of the Island.The economy of the municipality is based on banana crops and tourism.
The municipality’s orography is placed within a little valley, crossed by lava rivers, old volcanos, from the central mountains up to the coast area, with very high cliffs and black sand beaches and small bays. The territory occupied by the municipality, is the lightest and plainest area of the Valley it is located in, going up to the National Park of La Caldera de Taburiente.
How to reach Los Llanos de Aridane:
The municipality may be accessed through the south following LP-2 Road, which takes us directly to the center of Los Llanos de Aridane. To access from the eastern side, we should cross La Cumbre thought LP-3 Road and join LP-2, Road going through Tajuva cross.If we access from the north we may use LP-1 Road and join LP-2 Road just before getting into Argual neighborhood.
