Las Mimbreras Road
This is a road which shows the exuberance of laurel forests and the steep topography of the island’s northern region. The old tunnels the road goes through, the roads narrowness and precipices give us an idea of how difficult the construction of this mountain road might have been, as well as the isolation this area has been always submitted to. This isolation is undoubtedly part of the landscape charming effect of the itinerary. In the last part of the trip, we can observe the presence of forest exploitation, fodder crops and average agriculture in the area. All these features, together with the presence of livestock, gives the itinerary a more accentuated cultural interest in this last part of the trip, against those natural values (vegetation and topography) shown at the beginning.
